Join Our Partners in Prospect Park for a Native Tree and Riparian Buffer Maintenance Day

Help care for young trees and improve green space at Moore's Lake Park during the Prospect Park Tree Care Day on Saturday, August 29th from 9–11 AM

Volunteers will be pulling grass and weeds from mulch beds, watering saplings, and helping with general maintenance to support the growth of newly planted trees. No experience needed—just bring your energy and willingness to help!

Mushroom Walk & Talk with Aubrey Inkster from Philly Mycology Club

Saturday, August 29th, 11am-1pm

Come learn about the fungus among us in a guided walk with mushroom enthusiast and educator, Aubrey Inkster. Aubrey has professional and personal experience growing mushrooms in addition to being the VP of the Mycology Club!

Since 2018, the community of novice and experienced mycologists has grown to thrive in Greater Philadelphia. PMC works with many of the environmental education centers in Philadelphia to provide free and accessible mushroom guidance in an urban setting. The group hosts group hikes, workshops, and trash clean ups year round.

DCVA events are always free. Donations are appreciated to support our work to preserve and protect our watershed, but are not required.

2026 Fall Annual Watershed Wide Creek Clean Up (Saturday, September 26, 2026)

This year, the fall clean up will take place at 30 sites across the watershed on Sept. 26th, Oct. 3rd, and Oct. 10th!
