Join Lauren McGrath from Willistown Conservation Trust , David Bressler , from Stroud Water Research , Derron LaBrake Wetlands and Ecology , and Emily Bialowas from Izaak Walton League as we discuss the impact salt has in our waterways, groundwater and soils. 

We will watch a pre recorded Izaak Walton League webinar  "Salt in the Water: Action on the Ground" Learn about the  major health risk to both humans and wildlife. Presented by Dr. John Jackson of the Stroud Water Research Center and Kevin Roth of Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust to learn about how excessive salt affects benthic macroinvertebrates and other aquatic life in freshwater streams, and how one local community group is raising awareness and changing behavior around salt in the community!

Lauren, David , Emily , Derron will be live to answer any questions and talk about joining the Izaak Walton Winter Salt Watch program and expanding it into the summer and data collection.
