Whitby Meadow Cleanup with Audubon & Philadelphia Mycology Club

Sunday, December 5, 2021, 2pm-4pm

Meet @ the intersection of Thomas Ave. & Cobbs Creek Pkwy, Philadelphia, and we will walk to Whitby Meadow

DCVA has partnered with Audubon on a project to restore Whitby Meadow, located in Philadelphia's Cobbs Creek Park, to improve conditions for birds, pollinators, and other wildlife in this important green space on the edges of both Philadelphia and Yeadon. The aim of the project is to restore native plants that provide food and habitat, improve plantings along the creek to reduce erosion and restore creek health, and reduce plastic pollution and trash.  We know that with these efforts Whitby Meadow can become an oasis for wildlife and the surrounding communities - but we need your help! Please join us to help pick up trash along with Audubon and members of the Philadelphia Mycology Club. Bring your own gloves (or we will have gloves on hand for you!), and we will provide trash bags.
