This March, join neighbors, scientists, educators, and community science volunteers for a dynamic series of watershed workshops across the upper, middle, and lower Darby–Cobbs Creek. These gatherings will bring the story of your local waterways to life—through real data, shared experiences, and meaningful conversations about the challenges and opportunities facing our creeks.

Staff from Darby Creek Valley Association (DCVA) and Willistown Conservation Trust (WCT) will present recent water quality findings, with a special focus on conditions in the region hosting each workshop. Volunteers and residents will be invited to share what they’re seeing on the ground, building a fuller picture of how land use, infrastructure, and community actions shape water quality throughout the watershed.

Learn how everyday practices—from lawn care and salted driveways to highway maintenance—affect the health of our waterways, the creatures that live in them, and even the water we rely on at home.

Whether you’re a concerned resident, a student, or simply curious about the hidden story in our streams, this talk will give you a clear picture of how winter care choices ripple through our environment. Come learn, connect, and be part of a growing community working to ensure healthier waters for Darby–Cobbs Creek—upstream, downstream, and everywhere in between.
